AIFTP National Tax Conference held at Kolkata: Kolkata’s N P Jain Sworn in as National President, Junagadh’s Samirbhai Jani unanimously elected as Deputy President

Dt: 25.12.2023: All India Federation of Tax Practitioners the biggest association of tax professionals throughout India had organized a National Tax Conference at the Sweet Capital of India and West Bengal’s Capital Kolkata during 22nd to 24th December 2023. The Conference was preceded by National Executive Committee (NEC) Election. The NEC election was conducted with high end technology so as to ensure transparency in the whole election process. Advocate K C Kaushik and his team were instrumental in conduction fair and transparent election of the NEC. Narayan P Jain, Kolkata was sworn in as New National President of AIFTP for the year 2024. Renowned advocates from Gujarat Samirbhai Jani, Bhashkarbhai Patel & Gauriben Popat were elected as a member to National Executive Committee representing west zone. As per the traditions of the association, Collegium of past president recommended the name of Samirbhai Jani, stalwart from Junagadh as Deputy President of AIFTP. This means that Samirbhai Jani shall be all due to take the charge of National President for Calendar year 2025. The conference also witnessed the award ceremony where National President Pankaj Ghiya declared various awards during his tenure in the calender year 2023. He was praised by the members present for his efforts to conduct as many as 340 programs during his tenure of one year.
The election was followed by Conference where the inaugural session was graced by Justice Rajesh Bindal, Judge Supreme Court of India and Justice Mosmi Bhatacharya, Judge Kolkata High Court. Both the Jurist had shared their words of wisdom. Justice Rajesh Bindal gave oath to incoming national president Narayan P Jain. Past President and Stalwart P.C. Joshi declared the name of Samirbhai Jani as the Deputy President of AIFTP. The conference covered many topics of Income Tax and Goods & Services Tax. Lectures were delivered on various taxation subjects by learned Speakers. The Sessions were chaired by Stalwarts of the profession. More than 500 delegates remained present from all over the country.
